Daniel and Adrian came out to check on what I was convinced was a wiring issue with a light fixture. On the way into my house, Daniel noticed that my porch gate was wonky, and he stopped and fixed it in 5 minutes. This gate hasn't hung or shut correctly since it was built. It's perfect now. This tells me the MogoVolt guys know systems and mechanics. You can connect two wires but knowing how to set everything up correctly is valuable. The light fixture "issue" turned out to be dead lightbulbs (LED Edison bulbs, which I was previously unfamiliar with). I laughed at myself but they were very kind and didn't disparage my lack of knowledge. I will definitely hire Daniel and Adrian and MogoVolt team when I need an electrician.

Mogovolt recently completed a whole-home electrical rewire and 200-amp panel replacement for us. Dealing with the knob and tube wiring in a 1940s home was a big concern for us, but they were professional and easy to work with from the start. What stood out most was their adaptability. We are planning several phased renovations over the next few years, and the team was highly responsive to that approach They made adjustments to the scope of work mid-project to ensure the circuits they ran now would perfectly align with our future plans, saving us rework down the line. Even the city inspector was complimenting the neatness and quality of their work during the final sign-off. A reliable, professional crew that does solid work. Will definitely be hiring them again for our next projects.

Mogovolts team (Adrian and Arnell) showed up right on time and got right to work replacing our electrical panel (the old panel was 35 years old and out of spaces for additional electrical connections). Adrian and Arnell are detail oriented and always willing to answer my questions. The finished product looks & works great and power to home is restored. The panel replacement also included a ChargePoint electric car plug in, free of charge. For anyone looking for an experienced, responsive (when I called someone always answered quickly, emails and texts promptly sent to ensure work date confirmation, etc) & supportive electrician, I would recommend you call MogoVolts. They’re clearly ahead of the pack with fair pricing and complete customer support.

I cannot recommend Mogovolt highly enough. Their work is top tier and the people are even better. My wife and I hired them for a full knob and tube rewire and installation of an EV charger. Their pricing was competitive, and they provided the most thorough and honest assessment of any group we spoke with. This was a large project, but Adrian and Antonel showed up every day, worked hard, communicated exceptionally well and kept us informed throughout the process. Adrian suggested several upgrades including recessed lighting, a low voltage TV box, and additional lighting, that were well worth it! Pricing for additions was transparent and we never felt pressured to say yes. They also kept the house remarkably clean each day. Since we were living in the home during the project, it was important to feel comfortable with the team, and we absolutely did. I genuinely miss seeing Adrian and Antonel each day! They were a pleasure to work with. Daniel even followed up afterward to ensure everything met our expectations. I've already recommended Mogovolt to friends and family, and will happily reach out to them for future electrical work.

Benjamin did a fantastic job! He was efficient, polite, and enthusiastic. He had good suggestions and clearly wanted to make sure we were happy with his work. I really appreciate how easy it was to get an appointment for a quote and then to get the work done, and the pricing seemed fair. I highly recommend this company!

frequently asked questions

Seattle Heating & Cooling Questions

Follow your equipment manufacturer's maintenance schedule. A yearly professional visit is a useful starting point; heat pumps that heat and cool may benefit from checks before both busy seasons. Inspect filters regularly and replace them as recommended, especially with pets, heavy use, or wildfire smoke. Call if you notice unusual noise, weak airflow, or a change in comfort.

Heat pumps provide heating and cooling and can be a good fit for Seattle's generally mild climate. A furnace provides heating only. The right choice depends on your insulation, ductwork, electrical capacity, fuel costs, and comfort goals. For homes without ducts, ask about ductless mini-splits; a dual-fuel system may be another option when keeping a furnace makes sense.

Timing depends on the equipment, access, permits, and whether the project needs ductwork or electrical changes. A straightforward replacement is different from a multi-zone ductless installation or a full conversion. Ask for a project-specific schedule during your consultation, including any inspection requirements and expected downtime.

Ask about current payment options and check your utility's heat-pump programs before purchasing. Eligibility can depend on your address, existing heat source, equipment, installer requirements, and application timing. Rebates, financing, approval, and promotional rates are not guaranteed; confirm the written terms for your project.

Call (206) 963-2973 to describe your heating or cooling problem and confirm current service availability. After-hours or same-day appointments are not guaranteed. If you smell gas or a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, leave the building and contact emergency services or your gas utility from a safe location.

Square footage alone is not enough. A heating and cooling load assessment considers insulation, windows, ceiling height, air leakage, sun exposure, and Seattle design temperatures. Duct capacity and room-by-room needs also matter. Correct sizing helps avoid short cycling, uneven temperatures, and unnecessary equipment expense.

Start with source control, suitable filtration, and ventilation. During Seattle-area wildfire smoke events, follow local public-health guidance and use filtration that your system can support without restricting airflow. Ask about filter compatibility, fresh-air ventilation, and moisture concerns. No single HVAC product removes every pollutant or guarantees a health outcome.

An upgrade may improve comfort and reduce energy use, especially when replacing electric resistance heat or aging equipment. The financial benefit depends on installation cost, local electricity and fuel rates, weather, usage, and available incentives. Compare the total installed cost and expected operating costs rather than relying on a guaranteed payback period.
